Metro Noviciado L2, metro Plaza de España L3 and L10 and metro Santo Domingo L2 are just around the corner, as well as many bus lines (2, 3, 46, 74, 75, 147, 148 and night buses N16, N18, N19, N20 and N21) and rental bike stations. Although in the very heart of city, it is a quiet property as it is located in an antique courtyard from the 19th century, so no need to worry about the noise. It is on first floor (out of 2) with nice light and no elevator (not possible to fit one). It is fully furbished and carefully equipped, so I believe it has everything you need for a great stay, with details such as smart tv, coffee maker, hair dryer, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, hot water kettle, iron (probably not using it that much, but there it is, just in case!), etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances and utensils, such as stove, oven and blender. The studio has high ceilings of over 10 feet and an open space that includes living room-dining room and the double bed bedroom. There is also a sofa that can be converted into a single bed, which could be really convenient to receive some friend short visit during your stay. Supplies (electricity, water and internet) are included up to 100? per month. There is NO administration or agency fee (typically one entire month) in my apartment, as I handle it directly. Si estás en una etapa de tu vida en la que quieres disfrutar de la ciudad, lo mejor es que alquiles piso en La Latina o Lavapiés porque estarás en pleno centro madrileño y rodeado de historia. Si eres de los que quiere la vida de barrio, lo tuyo es alquilar piso en Carabanchel o Vallecas. Pero, si prefieres vivir alejado del bullicio de la ciudad, prueba un alquiler en Arturo Soria o Alameda de Osuna.
Pero Madrid no es solo su capital. Tiene 8.000 kilómetros cuadrados de espacios naturales bellísimos, pueblos pintorescos y lugares en los que todavía se puede saborear la comida castellana auténtica. Y todo a un tiro de piedra de la capital, como estos destinos:
- Aranjuez: Puedes llegar en tren desde Madrid a este bello y tranquilo municipio, bañado por el Tajo y el Jarama. Aranjuez es un lugar para pasear por sus numerosos jardines reales, abiertos al público: no en vano fue el lugar escogido por varios miembos de la realeza, desde el siglo XVI, para instalarse allí largas temporadas. También son famosas sus huertas de fresa y de espárragos.
- Pantanos y embalses: Esta es una actividad poco ofertada en los circuitos turísticos a la que -por algo será- los habitantes de Madrid y alrededores son muy aficionados. Y es que hay una docena larga de pantanos con hermosos espacios naturales a su alrededor que no te puedes perder si te apetece caminar, observar aves, hacer un pícnic o, también, navegar a vela en el corazón de la meseta castellana. Esta es una pequeña lista de algunos pantanos recomendados por los propios madrileños: El Atazar, La Jarosa, Santillana, San Juan, Valmayor o El Vellón. A todos ellos puedes llegar en coche como máximo en una hora desde Madrid.
- Navacerrada: en la Sierra de Guadarrama, a 1.200 metros de altura y a una hora de Madrid en coche o autobús, es otro atractivo que no puedes dejar pasar. Además de disfrutar de un entorno natural bellísimo y a menudo nevado en invierno, cada domingo se celebra en la Avenida Madrid un célebre mercadillo de antigëdades.
- Alcalá de Henares y El Escorial: Ambos lugares fueron declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Alcalá posee un rico patrimonio monumental que se concentra en su casco histórico fundamentalmente: iglesias, conventos y dependencias universitarias nos acercan a la vida castellana durante el Siglo de Oro español.
San Lorenzo del Escorial, por su parte, se ubica en la Sierra de Guadarrama. El Monte Abantos, su pinar y la dehesa de La Herrería componen un conjunto natural muy hermoso, con multitud de excursiones posibles por ese paisaje natural. También el casco urbano del municipio es hermoso y lleno de historia. Ambos lugares puedes llegar en transporte público desde Madrid.
Otro bello pueblo cercano a Madrid es Chinchón. Se distingue en la distancia por sus casas conservadas como hace siglos y asentadas en cerros. Destaca su característica Plaza Mayor, con sus balcones de madera y sus galerías adinteladas.
- Taberna Museo Etnográfico: Está ubicada en Robledillo de la Jara, pintoresco pueblo al norte de Madrid, y es un lugar interesante si viajas con niños. En el Museo se puede apreciar como los habitantes de Robledillo de la Jara, elaboraban hace más de un siglo aquellos productos que formaban parte habitual de su forma de vida: el pan, la miel, el vino o la matanza, y cómo iban unidos a acontecimientos cotidianos como las estaciones o las celebraciones tanto de origen religioso como pagano. Un autobús enlaza desde Madrid varios pueblos de la Sierra Norte, entre ellos Robledillo.
